Trial licence
Version 1.0 · 20 October 2026Trial fonts let you try a Skella & Co typeface in your own work before you pay. This licence is between Skella & Co Pty Ltd (ACN 624 414 179) and you, the person who downloads the trial.
In short
Test it, pitch with it, learn with it. Once the work is going out into the world, buy a licence. The trial is free and has no time limit.
What you can do
- Install the trial fonts on your own computers.
- Use them in tests, sketches and mock-ups.
- Show work made with them to a client, inside a team or in a competition entry, to decide whether to use the font.
- Use them in school or university work that isn't sold or published.
- Use the trial web font on a test site that is password protected or hidden from the public.
What you can't do
- Use the trial fonts in anything published, sold, broadcast or shown to the public. That includes live websites, apps, logos, printed matter, video and social media posts.
- Share the trial files. Send people to the font's page to get their own.
- Change the trial files, or rename them to hide that they are trials.
- Use the font software, or images of its characters, to train or tune an AI model, or to make another typeface.
Trial files
- Trial fonts are named with the word Trial, such as WMB Block Trial, so they never mix with a licensed copy.
- They hold the full character set of the family, so your tests look like the real thing.
- Desktop trial fonts can be embedded in PDFs for viewing and printing only.
- When the work goes public, buy a licence and swap the trial fonts for the licensed ones.
The legal part
- The trial is free and given as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss from using it. Nothing here limits a right you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
- We own the fonts. This licence gives you permission to use the trial, nothing more.
- If you break this licence, it ends and you must delete the trial files.
- This licence is governed by the law of South Australia.
