Skella & Co Font Licence
Version 1.0 · 20 October 2026This licence covers every font you buy from Skella & Co Foundry. It is written to be read. Each section starts with a short summary, and the full terms follow it. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you buy and we'll explain it.
The licence is an agreement between Skella & Co Pty Ltd (ACN 624 414 179, South Australia), called we or us, and the person or company named on your licence certificate, called you or the licensee.
In short
You can use the fonts in your own work and your clients' work, for as long as you like, in the ways you paid for. Logos are fine. You can't share the font files, sell them, or let people outside your company install them. If your company grows past its size band, buy the difference.
| Licence | Covers |
|---|---|
| Desktop and print | Installing the fonts on your team's computers. Print, packaging, signage, merchandise, PDFs, presentations, documents, still images, social media posts. Logo and trademark use. |
| Web | Self-hosting the web fonts on websites, web apps, email newsletters and web ads that you own or run, with no limit on traffic or domains. |
| Apps and games | Embedding the fonts in one app or game, on all its platforms, with no limit on installs. Buy one licence per app. |
| Video and broadcast | Film, television, streaming, video ads, motion graphics and video on social media, for your brand. |
| E-books and digital publications | Embedding the fonts in e-books, e-magazines and digital editions you publish, with no limit on titles or copies. |
Prices
Prices go by the size of your company and how you'll use the font. The table shows one style priced at A$80, like WMB Block. Each family page shows the live price for every combination.

- Two or more uses in one order take 20% off.
- Two styles of a family take 15% off, three take 25%, four take 35%, and five or more take 45%.
- Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST for buyers in Australia. Buyers outside Australia pay the same price with no GST.
- Students, teachers and registered charities can ask us for a discount.
Who it covers
The licensee and the people who work for it. A designer or agency can buy a licence for a client, and the licence then belongs to the client.
- The licence is granted to the licensee named on the certificate. It covers the licensee's employees, and contractors and agencies while they work on the licensee's projects.
- If you buy a licence for a client, put the client's name as the licensee. You may install the fonts to do that client's work. When the work ends, remove the fonts unless you hold a licence of your own.
- A licence for a company also covers companies it controls, if they are counted in the company size.
Company size
Count everyone who works for the licensee, including regular contractors. If you grow into a bigger band, buy the upgrade within 90 days. You only pay the difference.
- Company size is the number of people who work for the licensee and the companies it controls, counting full-time staff, part-time staff and contractors who work for it on a regular basis.
- Choose the band that fits on the day you buy. If the licensee later grows into a larger band, it has 90 days to upgrade. An upgrade costs the difference between the two prices on the day you upgrade.
- Companies with more than 250 people, or listed on a stock exchange, need a licence written for them. Ask us for a quote.
Uses
Each use is a separate licence. Buy the ones you need. You can add more later.
Desktop and print
- Install the desktop fonts on any number of computers used by the people this licence covers.
- Use them to make anything that ends up as print, a fixed image or a document. This covers packaging, signage, merchandise, PDFs, presentations, still images and posts on social media.
- Embed the fonts in PDF and office documents so others can view and print them.
Web
- Host the web fonts on servers you control and use them on websites, web apps, email newsletters and web ads that you own or run for the licensee's brand.
- There is no limit on pageviews, visitors or domains.
- Take reasonable steps to stop other sites using your font files, such as serving them from your own domain only.
Apps and games
- Embed the fonts in one named app or game, in all its versions and on all its platforms, with no limit on installs or users.
- Each further app or game needs its own licence.
- Store the fonts inside the app in a form that users can't easily extract.
Video and broadcast
- Use the fonts in film, television, streaming, video ads, motion graphics and video for social media, made for the licensee's brand.
- There is no limit on audience or impressions.
E-books and digital publications
- Embed the fonts in e-books, e-magazines, digital editions and interactive documents the licensee publishes.
- There is no limit on titles or copies.
What you can do
- Use the fonts for as long as you like. The licence never expires.
- Convert the font files into other formats, and subset them, for your own licensed use.
- Turn type into outlines, and change the letter shapes in artwork, such as a logo or a headline.
- Keep backup copies.
- Send the fonts to a printer or production house that is making your work, if they delete them when the job ends.
What you can't do
- Give, sell, lend or publish the font files, or let anyone outside this licence install them.
- Sell or give away the fonts, changed or unchanged, as fonts of your own. This includes products whose main value is the font, such as a font or lettering kit, or a template where people type with the font.
- Remove or change the copyright, licence or licence number information inside the files.
- Use the font software, or images of its characters, to train or tune an AI model, or to make another typeface.
- Use the fonts for anything unlawful.
Logos and trademarks
Make a logo with our font and register it as a trademark. That's included with Desktop and print.
- With a Desktop and print licence, the licensee may use the fonts in a logo, wordmark or brand mark, and register that mark as a trademark.
- The licensee owns its logo. We keep the rights in the font itself.
Your files
Each font you receive carries your licence number inside it. Desktop files also carry the licensee's name. That's how we tell a licensed copy from a shared one.
- Every font file we deliver contains the licence number. Desktop font files also contain the licensee's name. Web font files contain the licence number only, because anyone can download them from your site.
- Your licence certificate lists a fingerprint of every file we sent you.
- When we release an improved version of a font you've licensed, you can download it at no cost.
Upgrades and transfers
- To add a use, add styles, or move up a company size, buy the upgrade. You pay the difference between what you hold and what you need.
- The licensee can transfer the licence once to another company, for example when a brand is sold or an agency hands a project back to its client. Tell us the new licensee's name and we'll issue a new certificate. The old licensee must then delete the fonts.
Ownership
- We own the fonts, the font software and the typeface designs. You buy a licence to use them, not the fonts themselves.
- You own the work you make with them.
Your rights under Australian law
Our fonts come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a file is faulty and we can't fix it, you get your money back.
- Nothing in this licence excludes, restricts or changes a right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
- We promise that the files will install and work as described on the font's page. If they don't, tell us. We'll fix or replace them, and if we can't, we'll refund what you paid for that font.
- We don't give refunds for a change of mind once the files have been downloaded. If you bought the wrong licence, tell us within 30 days and we'll swap it for the right one, refunding or charging the difference.
Liability
- Apart from your rights under Australian law, set out above, the fonts are provided as they are described on their page.
- To the extent the law allows, our total liability under this licence is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue or data, or other indirect loss.
- Where the Australian Consumer Law lets us limit our liability for a business purchase, our liability is limited to replacing the files or refunding the price.
If the licence ends
- If you break this licence in a serious way, we will tell you what's wrong and give you 30 days to put it right. If it isn't put right, we may end the licence by notice.
- If the licence ends, stop using the fonts and delete the files. Printed matter and other finished work already made and distributed can stay as it is.
- You can end the licence at any time by deleting the fonts.
General
- This licence is governed by the law of South Australia. Courts in South Australia can hear any dispute, and so can courts where you live if your local law says so.
- If part of this licence can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
- We may publish new versions of this licence. A new version applies to licences bought after it is published. Your licence stays on the version shown on your certificate unless you choose to move to a newer one.
- To contact us about your licence, use the email link at the foot of the foundry FAQ and quote your licence number.
